Vega-Lite

Vega-Lite is a high-level specification for charts that is compiled to standard Vega specification by the Vega-Lite TypeScript library. VegaFusion operates exclusively on Vega specifications, so it does not directly support Vega-Lite. The vl-convert project provides Rust and Python libraries that can be used to convert Vega-Lite chart specifications to Vega specifications that are compatible with VegaFusion. Vega-Altair’s "vegafusion" data transformer uses this approach.
